A shooting broke out at a block party in Baltimore, Maryland Sunday — resulting in the loss of two lives and causing injuries to at least 28 people, including four children.
The deceased victims are an 18-year-old woman and a 20-year-old man, police said. Three victims remained in critical condition as of Sunday morning.
The minor victims received medical treatment at the Pediatric Emergency Department of the University of Maryland Medical Center. No information regarding their ages was provided by the hospital.
The suspect or suspects responsible are still at large, and law enforcement officials are searching for them. A motive for the shooting is unknown.
“I want those who are responsible to hear me, and hear me very clearly,” Mayor Brandon Scott said. “We will not stop until we find you, and we will find you. Until then, I hope that every single breath you take, that you think about the lives that you took, think about the lives that you impacted here tonight.”
