ELOY, Ariz. – Tragedy struck on Sunday morning in Pinal County, Arizona as a hot air balloon crash claimed the lives of four people, while a fifth person remains in critical condition. The incident occurred in a remote desert region approximately five miles north of the town of Eloy. The identities of the victims are being withheld pending the notification of their next of kin.
The cause of the crash remains unknown, and Eloy police are actively collaborating with federal agencies, including the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) and the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), to conduct an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident.
