Body Found Inside Ventilation System of Michigan College Arts Center

An investigation into an upsetting smell led authorities to uncover a body in the ventilation system of a performing arts center located in suburban Detroit. The man has been identified as Jason Anthony Thompson, 36.

According to William Leavens, the police chief at Macomb Community College, there is currently no indication of foul play in connection with the discovery. The body was located on Sunday at the Macomb Center for the Performing Arts in Clinton Township, Leavens said on Monday. Thompson was reported missing earlier this month. His connection to the school is unclear.

Chief Leavens emphasized that the investigation is still in progress. No further details were available.
