CAUGHT ON CAMERA: Emergency Slide Falls From Plane, Lands In Backyard

CHICAGO – Following a bizarre Monday afternoon discovery, a homeowner in Chicago alerted the Federal Aviation Administration about an aircraft emergency escape slide discovered in their backyard.

The inflatable slide, presumed to have fallen from a United Airlines flight originating in Zurich, Switzerland, landed on the roof of a home in northwest Chicago, resulting in minimal damage.

The homeowner shared with WLS that United Airlines representatives arrived at the home hours later to retrieve the slide on Monday. No injuries were reported on the ground, and an investigation is underway.
