The cause of Lisa Marie Presley’s death has been disclosed by the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner.
The 54-year-old celebrity passed away due to complications arising from a small bowel obstruction. The cause of death was officially ruled to be “sequelae,” or consequence of a previous disease or injury.
A toxicology report that might provide further details has yet to be made public.

Lisa Marie, an acclaimed singer-songwriter and the sole daughter of Elvis and Priscilla Presley, passed away on January 12 after being rushed to the hospital following a potential cardiac arrest.
During that time, a spokesperson for the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department stated that paramedics were called to the 5900 block of Normandy Drive in Calabasas, California, to attend to an unconscious woman in her 50s. Paramedics immediately initiated CPR and, upon detecting vital signs, transported her to a nearby hospital. She passed away later on.
