Nashville Police Arrest Man Accused Of Shooting Ex In Both Legs With Plans Of Killing Her
NASHVILLE – A man is set to face multiple charges for allegedly shooting his ex-girlfriend in a fit of jealousy. The incident occurred last month.
According to police, 38-year-old Selvin Geovani Pacheco-Loza drove to his ex-girlfriend’s house on Wednesday, May 31 because he was envious of other people at her home.
According to the woman’s account, as she was walking down the driveway to talk with him, Pacheco-Loza rolled down his car window and aimed a firearm at her. He stepped out of the vehicle, forcibly pushed her, and made an attempt to slap her. In response, she pushed him away and ran, but Pacheco-Loza proceeded to shoot her in both legs.
Pacheco-Loza’s actions did not end there.
He then allegedly demanded that she get into his car, threatening to take her elsewhere and kill her. When the victim tried to call police on her cell phone, he swiftly fled the scene in his car.
He was later arrested.
During their investigation, detectives uncovered prior instances involving Pacheco-Loza and the same woman. In one incident that took place in April, he reportedly struck her face and placed a gun against her head.
Pacheco-Loza was charged with attempted homicide, aggravated assault and aggravated kidnapping. He is currently being held in lieu of $400,000 bond.
