Rudy Farias: Missing Texas Teen FOUND ALIVE After 8 Years

HOUSTON – An announcement was made by the Texas Center for the Missing on Saturday, revealing that a Houston teenager, who had been reported missing over eight years ago, has been discovered alive.

Rudy Farias, who was 17 years old at the time of his disappearance, was located outside a church by Good Samaritans who contacted 911. Authorities later confirmed his identity.

Rudy’s mother told KPRC he’s in “bad shape.”

Rudy vanished in March 2015 while walking two dogs, both of which were later found without him.

Rudy’s family says he’s recuperating in a hospital, having suffered numerous bruises, burns, and scrapes at the time of his discovery.

It was disclosed in 2015 that Rudy had been grappling with depression for several months after the loss of his older brother in a motorcycle accident years prior.

During the time of Rudy’s disappearance, law enforcement did not suspect any criminal activity, and they have yet to disclose the circumstances surrounding his vanishing.

His mother expressed gratitude for his return and requests prayers.
