SEE IT! Pregnant Woman Shoots Would-Be Robber At Houston Gas Station

HOUSTON, Texas – A pregnant woman stood her ground and successfully defended herself and her husband against a would-be robber at a gas station in Houston.

The Houston Police Department (HPD) responded to a shooting incident on June 27 at a gas station located at 8605 Fulton Street. Upon arrival, officers discovered a male and a female holding the suspect at gunpoint. The suspect, later identified as Mario Ipina Duque, had sustained multiple gunshot wounds.

Paramedics from the Houston Fire Department arrived at the scene and transported Duque to the hospital for medical treatment. Meanwhile, both the male and female individuals involved in the incident were detained, and authorities recovered the firearms involved.

Surveillance footage revealed that Duque brandished a weapon and made threats to kill the male victim. He proceeded to strike the male with his pistol. In an act of self-defense, both the female and male victims produced their own firearms and fired at Duque, causing him to sustain injuries. They then held him at gunpoint and contacted emergency services by dialing 9-1-1.

Subsequently, charges were filed against Duque, who remains hospitalized. He is now facing charges of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and unlawful carrying of a weapon.

The couple is not expected to face charges.
