‘Shots Fired’ At UNC Chapel Hill Campus; Massive Police Response

Authorities at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill were responding to a situation involving an individual who is considered “armed and dangerous” and is either on or in the vicinity of the campus. There were also reports of shots fired inside a building.

However, a university spokesperson declined to provide additional details.

The college was under lockdown as officers searched the campus. Students were asked to shelter in place and residents were advised to avoid the area.
