Tragedy struck in South Carolina last week as a 6-year-old, identified as Avery Davis by family members, lost his life in an accidental shooting during a hunting excursion. The incident occurred in Orangeburg County on Friday morning, as confirmed by the South Carolina Department of Natural Resources.

WACH reported: Officials say that Davis was in an elevated stand at the time off the accident. It appears to have been a stray shotgun pellet from a shooter on the ground that hit Davis causing his death.
